Happy Friday all! I'm sharing my love for Framebridge today! They did a great job and have such friendly service. Plus, it was super easy. These are a couple of photos I recently had framed by them. I took this first photo while walking the streets of Ocean Beach, scouting spots for a high school senior portrait session. The smile on the little dogs face on the right just makes me happy every time I look at it, and the other little guys eyes peeking over the dash... so sweet.
This second photo is one of my dog Penny having a little meet and greet at the beach. What I really like most about this shot though, is the photo bomber on the left.
Their packaging is also nice, felt like I was opening a gift : )
I love all the different expressions this little girl has! Neiko knows how to rock some four year old photos...
And she's out!
Having fun photographing dogs I see out on the town lately. I was in an Uber with my husband and mother in law, on our way to my niece's 4th birthday party, when I spotted this cool guy on the streets of downtown San Diego. When I say "guy" I'm talking about the dog of course. I love how serious they look in this whimsical photo. By the way, my mother in law thought I was crazy.
This Dog is Going Places
Alejandra has two reasons to be glowing like she is... She is obviously marrying a man she is so in love with, and she is 5 months pregnant. I'm so happy for them, the joy on their faces was so heartwarming to witness. A big congratulations to Alejandra and Cristian, not just on their marriage, but also their new family with Manny and his little sister Zoe on the way.
Some of the photos from this little girl's six month session. This baby is just too friggin cute!
Wardrobe change... Actually, wardrobe addition ; )
Hey there, finally I've got something to share... Been photographing this little stud for a few years now, love seeing him grow.
Wait, ... is that Gap Kids calling?
No haters here...
I recently had the pleasure of photographing Catherine Segura (C.A.S. Photography) with her parents and their horse Willie. I not only enjoyed spending time with Willie, I wanted to visit every horse there! Unfortunately for me, you're not really allowed to do that. Sad face.
It was really important to Cat to have some family photos done with him since he is in his golden years. This is one from what I'm calling our "trial run" session (wink wink). I'm feeling compelled to title this, and what keeps coming to mind is Old Souls. That may not make sense to most, seeing how Cat is so youthful looking, but check out her work and you'll see why. Then there is Mr. Willie of course, with 32 years under his belt (or saddle ; ) ).
My muse ; ), Cat, and I recently visited the San Diego County Administration Building. What a great option for a wedding venue. I wish I would have thought of it for my ceremony...
We took some portraits of Cat, the first one here looks like she is in some tropical paradise, the other looks more editorial. Reminds me of an Urban Outfitters or Anthropologie ad. I love Anthropologie by the way :). I wish I would have taken more photos, next time... Also, bringing my fav lens to avoid the pesky shadow in the second photo. I reluctantly use it because of that, but she is gorgeous and I like the warm/cool contrast and overall look.

A few more...
Oh my gosh... These two were just so cute and fun! Thank you Kim and Danielle for the great time and allowing me to photograph your love.
And... I am also happy to report that I was able to avoid the poison oak this time ; ).
This one here may be my favorite...
I had the privilege this past weekend to photograph my sister in law with her girlfriend and adorable daughter. Family=built-in guinea pigs ; ). We were planning on testing out a new place for me to shoot, but ran just a little late. We were still able to grab a few photos during golden hour though. Loving that light...
Photography Tip: Don't be like I was, afraid for the longest to bump up that ISO, in this type of scenario at least (no other light or modifiers being used).
So, I had wanted to check out San Clemente Canyon for quite a while now. It had been about 25 years since I had been down there. Dang, I'm old! I recently stumbled across another photographer's blog that referred to it as Marian Bear Park (insert ah ha moment here). We took these just outside of the parking lot, where there were a handful of other photographers doing the same. I'm really looking forward to going back soon to find some other spots for next time and so are these lovely ladies... right!?
Tip #2: Watch out for poison oak! I ran into some 25 years ago when I was there, and without fail I ended up with the dreaded itchy rashes again!
